I keep missing Artistic Genius shows. I caught a few and I noticed the crowd is usually very vivid. Some art galleries in Chicago don;t always have the best work, but they often have great crowds and throw a great party. I have learned that building a desirable ambiance is often a sought after endeavor by curators. It is not enough just to have an opening. Some collectors and art buyers seek galleries that can produce memorable events. Some art speaks for itself, but some pieces are purchased because of the extenuating circumstances involving the location and host.

These photos are from two different shows. One show is titled Ordinary People. I find that in Chicago, very few ordinary people actually go to Art Shows on a regular basis. People that do though, often look for that trait in others. Even though the art scene in Chicago is a dwarf compared to the commercial investment in art in New York and Miami. the actual scene and abundance of talented artists make the parties unforgettable.

The other show is of Rome. He is no joke.

I will be uploading pics form this event periodically due to the high number of pics I want to show you. You can feel the how saturated in art culture Chicago artists can be enveloped in.

(one of these pics is from a Dead Line projects party, but if you weren't actually there you can't tell anyway, so why do you care?)
